Bio

KATE WEBSTER, FOUNDER MANAGING DIRECTOR

Kate started her advertising career in London, working in media, followed by a stint in Account Management at Saatchi and Saatchi. She was recruited by HSR, an Executive Search Firm specializing in Advertising and Marketing, where she learned about the Business of advertising, whilst putting her love for the creative product and the nurturing of great talent to good use.

Having always admired American advertising, she moved to San Francisco in 1992. Upon her arrival she found that a small number of creative, American advertising agencies were embracing Account Planning.

Working with associates  Sally Jones the founder of Tangerine in New York and London, and Lesley Cheng in Sydney, Kate Webster & Associates was able to offer clients an authentic International resource. Working initially for the early adopters of the discipline, agencies such as Goodby Silverstein & Partners, and TBWA/Chiat Day , Kate and her team quickly developed a reputation as the authentic source for tracking and recruiting the best Brand and Comms. strategy talent from around the world.

As the business has changed so have we. Kate Webster & Associates has most recently worked with agencies and clients developing their Connections Planning and Digital offerings and accessing Venture Capital for a number of start ups in the entertainment content sector.

Born in Wales and educated at Oxford Brookes University, Kate takes full advantage of her surroundings in Northern California, mountain biking, hiking and more recently traveling the coast in a vintage Airstream, fulfilling her dream of the great American road trip!
